This is an agreement for an AHT (American Hairless Terrier) puppy with limited registration. This means the puppy is not sold with breeding rights and has to be spayed or neutered as recommended by a veterinarian. If puppy is bred, on purpose or accidental, buyer will pay a $ 10,000 fine to the breeder. Registration will be done by the breeder, along with microchip registration. AKC & chip registration are $100, please add to your puppy payment. Proof of spay or neuter must be sent to the breeder when it is done. Breeder recommends waiting until one year of age for spay or neuter. _____
The two (2) year health warranty is a replacement warranty only, not a money back warranty. Breeder will replace puppy up to 2 years of age against life threatening, congenital conditions (such as heart, liver, kidney disease), or if the puppy is not able to function as a normal pet due to a genetic illness. Knees and bite are not guaranteed. The replacement puppy will be given after all documentation and test results are received by the breeder, verified with breeder’s veterinarian, and based upon availability with no guarantee of color, gender of parents. Breeder has the right to ask for a second opinion from another veterinarian at buyers’ expense. _____
Breeder is not responsible for any veterinarian or medical expenses. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs if a puppy is returned to breeder. If buyer would like to keep affected puppy, it must be spayed or neutered before replacement is given. Breeder may require puppy to be returned in certain circumstances. Warranty can never exceed original cost of the puppy. ______
Buyer is advised to purchase health insurance for the puppy (optional). ______

If buyer chooses to feed Life’s Abundance dog food to the puppy, warranty will be extended to 5 years, providing the puppy remains to be fed Life’s Abundance dog food during the entire time of warranty. Please order food from www.lifesabundance.com/RitaGaus at least one week prior to puppy’s arrival. _____

The buyer must:

Take puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a wellness checkup within 1 week of purchase date and forward this documentation to seller within 10 business days to validate the warranty. Keep records/receipts as proof. Set up vet appointment 2 weeks prior to puppies’ arrival if possible. _____
Keep puppy up to date and timely on all vaccinations, deworming, wellness exams, heartworm and other healthcare and treatments as recommended by licensed veterinarian. All health records/receipts must be kept as proof. ____
Important, this warranty does not cover accidents, illnesses, or conditions that are not life threatening or that are treatable or can be cured, such as mites, cold, low blood sugar, worms, fungal infections, or any diseases your puppy has contracted from its new environment after it has left our care. ____
Once buyer and puppy leave our property, puppy is considered sold. If buyer changes their mind and wants to return the puppy for non-legitimate reasons (such as: too much work, puppy cries, someone is allergic, or we are overwhelmed) NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN!!! Breeder will always take back the puppy if buyer cannot keep it. Please make sure to check for allergies before you purchase a puppy!!! ____
If puppy needs to be re-homed for any reason, puppy is to be offered to breeder first at no more than 50% of original purchase price and if breeder declines to purchase puppy back, breeder has to approve a potential new buyer. Puppy absolutely must be spayed or neutered before re-homing. _____
Puppy is not to be euthanized for any reason without permission of the breeder first. Puppy cannot be turned over to a rescue or shelter or be given away to another person. In such case it must be returned to breeder, no compensation will be given. _____
Breech of contract will result in a $5000 fine paid to the breeder. In case of a dispute in court, hearings shall be held in Kankakee County, Illinois. ______

Puppies will be picked out in order of deposits received. First pick needs to pick by the time puppies are 4 weeks old and others must follow after. Buyer must indicate desired sex of puppy at the time deposit is made. Visits or video call can be arranged by breeder. First two pick, one male and one female are always reserved for the breeder. There are no exceptions for picking orders.

Buyer must make arrangements with breeder to pick up puppy in person. Shipping with a nanny can also be arranged. In some cases meeting half way is possible. Breeder will charge $1.00 per mile round trip. If distance is over 500 miles, special arrangements may be made. Puppy will never be shipped in cargo. _____
Puppy will be microchipped and registered by the breeder with AKC in buyers name. Provide breeder with full puppy name and your full name, address, phone and email address. ______
In some cases, even hairless puppies can retain or regrow some patches of hair. Breeder has no control over this and it cannot be guaranteed. ______
